On of my favorite talks on the subject of creativity is a TED talk - Your Elusive Creative Genius by author Elizabeth Gilbert (best known for Eat Pray Love). In it she describes the creative process as being a separate entity. So instead of being the creative genius, the creative genius works through us to produce amazing art, literature and so on. Isn't that an amazing way of looking at it? It takes off the incredible pressure that we as creative people put on ourselves. So go ahead let your creative genius take over and let the creativity flow freely. If you already haven't seen the video take a look at her talk below. It's light and amusing and if anything will put a smile on your face.
